Construction of a dataset and a cooperative network for the digitization and investigation of the German letter during the Enlightenment
Corpus
The corpus consists of edited letters that were written in or sent to the German-speaking world in the 18th century. The letters’ authors were born between 1640 and 1780.
Digitization
The project plans to make around 240,000 letters from 1,200 printed editions accessible in the form of metadata, images, and full texts.

The PDB18 dataset in correspSearch is updated on an ongoing basis.
